 Trust IconChoosing experience gifts is a lot of fun but it can also be quite expensive. It is extremely important to us that you are absolutely comfortable with what you are purchasing. Hopefully you´ll find the answers to most of your questions below but please feel free to contact us for more information.


Q: How do Extremewest experience gift vouchers work?

Q: I am on holiday or I live in the South West. Are these vouchers only suitable as gifts or can I use them myself?
A: Our experience days make perfect gifts OR brilliant things for you and your family to do


Q: Do I need to book a date for my experience when I purchase my voucher?
A: No - vouchers are valid for 9 months from the date you purchase your voucher and can be redeemed anytime during this period, however please note that some experiences only operate at certain times of the year or on certain days of the year so you will need to ensure that you redeem your experience during those times.


Q: I want to do my experience on a particular date. What should I do?
A: It is very important that you contact Extremewest, before purchasing your voucher, in order for us to check availability for your required date. Unfortunately we cannot be held responsible if the date you want is not available where you have not checked with us first.


Q: How long are the vouchers valid for?
A: Vouchers are valid for nine months starting from the date they are purchased. 


Q: Can vouchers be extended?
A: Providing the voucher is still valid it can be extended for 3 months. Please refer to our terms & conditions to calculate how much your 3 month extension will cost. Please remember the voucher MUST still be valid at the time you purchase your extension as we will be unable to extend expired vouchers.


Q: If the recipient doesn´t like the experience I get them can they exchange it?
A: Provided that the voucher is still valid and a specific date has not been agreed with the original experience provider then YES! We have an ´Ideal Experience Gift Promise´ - just one of many reasons why people choose Extremewest. Click here for full details. 


Q: I just don´t know what experience to get them. What can I do?
A: Let them choose their own experience by giving them a Money Gift Voucher. Click here for full details.


Q: Will the voucher show how much I have paid?
A: No - the price does not appear on any experience voucher. Obviously if you purchase a Money Gift Voucher then this will display the price.  


Q: Can anybody use the voucher?
A: Yes anybody can use the voucher - not just the named recipient so please ensure it does not 
fall into the wrong hands.


Q: Can I personalise the voucher?
A: Yes - you can include the recipients name on the voucher up to 17 characters and also a personal message up to 200 characters.


Q: How soon will I receive my voucher?
A: PDF eVoucher certificates are received within minutes depending on the speed of your server. These can be printed and placed inside a gift card or forwarded by email to the lucky recipient. Please note that we do not send any vouchers by post unless requested in writing or unless a gift box is requested. Please note further that even if you order a gift box you will still receive an eVoucher.


Q: Can I get my voucher sent in a presentation Gift Box?
A: Yes - this option is available at check-out for a fee of £6.95 including p&p. Please note that if a gift box is not selected then you will only receive a printable PDF eVoucher certificate by email. Gift boxes are sent by Royal Mail with Proof of Postage and are usually received 3 - 5 working days from date of order. They can be sent to any UK postcodes and will arrive in an unmarked envelope. If you would like to send your gift box overseas please contact us first and we will advise you on costs.


Q: I have lost my voucher. What can I do?
A: Simply let us know and we will be more than happy to email you a duplicate for free to the original email address.


Q: I have a Money Gift Voucher. What do I do with it?
A: Money Gift Vouchers can be used as full or part payment towards any experience on our site. Click here for full details of how to use you gift voucher.


Q: I have an extremewest voucher. How do I go about doing my experience?                                                                                               A: At the top of this page you will see a REDEEM A VOUCHER button. Click this, enter your voucher number and follow the instructions to locate and book a suitable venue.


Q: My voucher has expired. What can I do?
A: It is very important that you redeem your voucher while it is still valid. The expiry date is clearly marked on your voucher. Unfortunately expired vouchers will cease to be valid and our activity associates who run the experiences will not accept your voucher. If, for any reason, you don´t think you will be able to do your experience within the 9 months life of the voucher then please contact us before the voucher expires so we can discuss extension options.


Q: Am I covered by insurance to do this experience? 
A: Each activity supplier has their own public & product liability for a minimum of five million pounds (there are 1 or 2 exceptions to this rule where you are advised you participate at your own risk. With these activities you will be notified on the experience description page and will be asked to sign a disclaimer before participating). In addition extremewest.co.uk also have cover under our BAHIS public & product liability policy for up to £5,000,000
