LAMPWORK ART BEAD SESSION
Have you ever wondered how those beautiful glass Pandora and Troll beads are made?
Join resident artist Donna Tombs in her studio in this beautiful Dartmoor town, just 20 minutes from Exeter, to learn how to make these beautiful beads from melted glass in an amazing 4 hour private Lampwork Art Bead Session.
Whether you choose to make simple round beads or something more complicated, it’s entirely up you. You can make beads any size, shape or colour.
Your 4 hour session will begin with a brief explanation of the art that is lampworking and an opportunity to select your colour palette for your beads. You will be using Italian glass, all the way from Murano, Italy.
After watching a demonstration by Donna you will get the chance to play - with full help, instructions and support as you go.
There will be a 30 minute break for lunch - our treat! - and refreshments while you work.
You get to keep all the beads made for demonstration purposes, which can tie in with your colour choices, along with your own. The best lampwork beads are annealed to make them as strong and beautiful as possible – yours will be annealed. Annealing is a lengthy process so your beads won’t be ready until the next day when you can collect them from the studio or they can be sent to you later for the price of a stamp.
This experience is for one-to-one tuition but small groups up to 4 can be accommodated.
